Isaac hurried ahead of his father into the house to the relative safety of his room. Every step was agonizing and only served as a physical reminder of the man his father had become. He shut his bedroom door and flicked the light on. He barely managed to hold in a yelp as he caught sight of the kid sitting on his bed.

Isaac let out a sigh. He honestly didn’t even care who this kid was. He just wanted to be left alone. “Whoever you are and whatever you want, I can honestly tell you that I’m not in the mood to deal with this. I just want to be left alone.”

“I can help you with your pain.” The kid got up and Isaac found himself not even trying to move away as the kid reached out to touch him. There was something in the kid’s eyes that made Isaac trust him. Isaac sighed in relief at the touch. He was surprised that it had rid him of his pain. “I would take care of the physical evidence as well but I don’t want your father to find out. You should sleep now. I will watch over you.”

Isaac raised his eyebrows and cocked his head, a small smile on his face. “And who are you?”

The kid smiled at him. “My apologies. My name is Samandiriel. I am an angel.”

Isaac snorted, but he actually believed the kid. He wouldn’t have except for the fact that Samandiriel had healed him by just touching him. He had so many questions though. He didn’t even know where to start.

“Your questions can wait until after you’ve gotten some rest.” Samandiriel was still smiling at him.

“Did you read my mind?” Isaac couldn’t help asking.

“After you sleep, Isaac.”

Isaac rolled his eyes but crawled into bed. That wasn’t an answer and it made Isaac think that Samandiriel actually could read his mind.

It was the best night sleep he’d had in such a long time. When he woke up, Samandiriel was still in his room, sitting at his desk, one of Isaac’s books in his hands. He looked up when Isaac stirred.

The first thing that Isaac could think to say was something he would have saved for later if he had been thinking. “If angels are real then that means God is real. Why do I still have to put up with my father if that’s true? What kind of God would let something like this happen? I’ve never done anything but try to be a good son.” Isaac wished he could have taken the words back as soon as they were out. It wasn’t a question he was sure he should be asking an angel at all.

“You won’t have to for much longer. There is a bigger picture here and things have already been set into motion.” Samandiriel looked like he regretted the fact that Isaac had to suffer like this, and that made Isaac feel a bit better, but not much.

“What’s going to happen?”

Samandiriel smiled at him. “Now, Isaac, you know that I can’t tell you that, right?”

Isaac laughed and shook his head. Of course he wouldn’t be told anything.

“I have been wanting to meet you for some time now, Isaac. I haven’t been allowed to until now though.” Samandiriel was sitting on the edge of his bed now, looking at Isaac with such an earnest expression on his face.

“Why would you want to meet me?” Isaac couldn’t understand why anyone would want to meet him, especially an angel. He wasn’t anything special.

“Because your soul sang to me. You have such a beautiful soul, Isaac. And now that I’m standing in front of you I can safely say that your outside is just as beautiful.”

Isaac ducked his head and blushed, the hint of a smile on his face. He didn’t think anyone has ever called him beautiful before. He didn’t think that anyone has ever told him that he was good looking period. He wasn’t exactly popular.

He felt fingertips under his chin, tilting his head up. Samandiriel was smiling at him. Isaac wondered if it was even possible for Samandiriel to frown. When Samandiriel smiled at him though, Isaac couldn’t help but think that it’s not him that’s beautiful, it’s Samandiriel.

“I don’t have much time to spend here, but will you show me around town today?”

“I’d love to, but what about my father?”

“Don’t worry. I can just disappear and reappear wherever I need to.”

Isaac smiled and managed to get through breakfast with his father well enough before meeting Samandiriel outside.

They spent the day walking through town and talking. Samandiriel couldn’t tell him much about heaven, but he seemed interested in hearing Isaac talk about school and lacrosse and all the mundane things in his life.

When they stopped for lunch, Samandiriel insisted that he didn’t need to eat.

“I don’t care if you need to eat. You should want to eat. Food is delicious. Here. You have to try some of this.” Isaac held out the slice of pizza he was holding for Samandiriel to take a bite. Samandiriel leaned forward, his eyes focused on Isaac’s own, and took a bite of the pizza. He watched as Samandiriel chewed and swallowed, eyes never leaving Isaac’s.

Isaac swallowed hard. The only time he was ever the sole focus of another person was when his dad was… paying special attention to him. This was so much better though. It made him feel special.

It was ridiculous though because he had only just met Samandiriel, and it wasn’t like the guy was even human. He was an angel. It didn’t matter. He was still dreading the end of the day. He was still dreading the moment when Samandiriel would leave, even if he hadn’t known him for long at all. It was stupid to feel this way. It didn’t stop him from feeling it though.

He wouldn’t go home if he could help it, but he knew that would just make things worse with his father, and that he definitely didn’t want. They stopped a couple of houses down from Isaac’s.

“I’ll meet you in your bedroom. Go have dinner with your father.” Samandiriel clasped a hand on Isaac’s shoulder and then disappeared. Isaac walked into the house and faced dinner with his father. It was easier than he would have expected, probably because he knew that Samandiriel was waiting for him in his room. He made sure his father didn’t see him too happy though, otherwise he would want to know what was going on, and Isaac would probably have to suffer through another beating then.

After dinner, he cleaned up as quickly as he could and hurried to his room. Samandiriel was waiting for him on his bed.

“You can relax, you know.”

Samandiriel smiled at him, again. “I’m fine. I can’t stay though.”

Isaac knew that Samandiriel would be leaving, he had just hoped he would have him around for a little longer. “Will I see you again?”

“Yes.”

Isaac sat down next to Samandiriel on the bed. “When?”

Samandiriel shook his head. “I’m sorry. I’m not sure.”

Isaac tried not to pout. Samandiriel cupped Isaac’s face and brushed his thumb along Isaac’s cheek. “Don’t worry, Isaac. I will be back to see you again. I promise. I wish you well in the mean time though.”

Samandiriel smiled and then vanished. Isaac, who was used to being alone, had never felt more cold or alone in his life.

*****

It was stupid to be out walking in the woods in the middle of the night alone. He knew that. There was an alpha pack in town. They hadn’t done anything so far though, and Isaac was hoping it would stay that way for a while longer. Especially since he was out here alone tonight.

It was summer vacation and he had been spending a lot of time training with Derek, something Scott still refused to do. Isaac was torn. He felt a loyalty to Derek but Scott had shown him such kindness. Either way, he still felt alone. He had wanted this and he didn’t regret it. It felt like it was something he was meant to do, but he still felt as though something was missing.

That train of thought always led him to the same place- Samandiriel. He hadn’t seen Samandiriel since that first time. Samandiriel had promised to visit him but he hadn’t.

It was then that Samandiriel appeared before him. Isaac wasn’t happy to see him though. He was pissed. “Where the hell have you been? You promised you would come visit me. Where were you when I decided to become a werewolf? Why weren’t you there to help me through the changes? Or did you not come visit me because of what I’ve become?” Isaac really hadn’t wanted to ask that last question because he really wasn’t sure he wanted the answer to that.

“How can you think that, Isaac? Your soul is still just as beautiful as ever.” Samandiriel actually looked confused.

Isaac’s anger dissipated, but he still wanted to know what had happened. “Then where were you, Samandiriel?”

“I am sorry, Isaac. I was working. I had wanted to see you though.”

“Then why couldn’t you send me some sort of note or something? Anything to let me know that you hadn’t forgotten about me.”

Samandiriel looked away from Isaac. “I’m sorry. I’ll try and remember that for next time.”

“Next time? Are you leaving me again?”

Samandiriel looked back up at him again and smiled. “I will have to, even if I don’t want to. I will stay in touch the best way that I can though.”

Isaac smiled at him and accepted his apology. He figured that Samandiriel was still learning human behavior anyway, so he needed some leeway.

“If it makes you feel any better, I thought of you often.”

Isaac smiled and ducked his head. “I thought of you often too.”

Samandiriel beamed at him. “Isaac, should you be out in the woods by yourself? At night?”

“No I definitely shouldn’t be. Not with the alpha pack roaming around.”

“Can I take you somewhere then?”

Isaac grinned and nodded. Samandiriel touched his forehead and they were suddenly on a very secluded beach. Isaac stripped out of his clothes and laughed as he ran to the water. He dived in and swam out a ways, and when he resurfaced he was surprised to see Samandiriel naked in the water beside him.

Isaac smirked and then splashed Samandiriel. He laughed when Samandiriel spluttered and then he tried to swim away when Samandiriel splashed him. They splashed each other and tried to dunk each other and laughed for hours before they decided to get out of the water.

Isaac stood on the shoreline when he was suddenly dried and dressed. He looked over and found Samandiriel dressed and dried as well. Isaac was going to have to remember that Samandiriel could do that. It could come in handy later on.

They linked fingers as they walked along the shore. Eventually Samandiriel took them back near where Isaac had been because Samandiriel refused to let Isaac back out in the woods where he had been earlier. Isaac didn’t want to go back though. He wanted to get away from here with Samandiriel.

“Can we spend a few days away from here? Together?”

Samandiriel smiled at him. “I would love to, but shouldn’t you ask Derek if it’s okay?”

Isaac wasn’t surprised that Samandiriel knew who Derek was. Isaac let out a sigh. “Yes, I suppose I should.”

Derek was immediately distrustful of Samandiriel. Isaac wasn’t really surprised. Derek didn’t trust anyone. It made it harder to trust Derek even though he really wanted to.

“An angel? Seriously?” Derek was scowling more than he usually did and Isaac would be worried about what he would do to Samandiriel except for the fact that Samandiriel was an angel. Isaac was pretty sure Derek couldn’t do any damage.

“You are a werewolf and you find it so hard to believe in angels?”

“Yes. I do.”

Samandiriel showed them his wings then. Or maybe they were shadows of his wings. Isaac wasn’t really sure. Either way, there was no denying that Samandiriel was an angel.

Derek let out a sigh. “Just a few days?”

Isaac grinned at him, brimming with excitement because he was pretty sure that Derek was going to let him go. “Just a few days. I promise.”

Derek chuckled. Isaac couldn’t believe he actually chuckled. He didn’t think he had ever heard Derek chuckle. “Go. Have fun and be safe.”

Samandiriel whisked them away and Isaac had no idea how he had managed to get a hotel room, a really nice one at that, but he wasn’t going to ask. It really didn’t matter.

There was only one huge bed in the room. Isaac grinned and jumped onto the bed, grabbing the TV remote. He patted the spot next to him and Samandiriel joined him. It was painfully obvious that Samandiriel was trying to mimic the relaxed pose that Isaac was in. It was adorable.

They watched TV for a while and Isaac drifted off. When he woke up he was in Samandiriel’s arms, but Samandiriel was still awake. “Didn’t you sleep at all?”

“I don’t require sleep.”

“Can you sleep though?”

“If I want to, yes. There is no reason to though.”

Isaac chuckled and shook his head. “You should try it sometime anyway.”

Samandiriel smiled at him. “Maybe I will.”

They spent hours just lounging around in the overly large bed, watching crappy TV. It was nice. When Isaac’s stomach growled they ordered room service. They ordered more than was absolutely necessary, things that Samandiriel had yet to try.

Isaac was laughing and feeding Samandiriel some pie. There was some whipped cream in the corner of Samandiriel’s mouth and without really thinking about it, Isaac wiped it away with his thumb and then sucked his thumb into his mouth. Samandiriel’s eyes widened and before Isaac could second guess himself, he leaned in and kissed him.

It wasn’t until the following evening that Isaac was lying there, exhausted and sated. The good thing about both of them being supernatural beings was their stamina. They had amazing stamina. It was kind of awesome.

Samandiriel was laying on the bed next to him. He looked utterly debauched and completely delicious. If Isaac could, he would take Samandiriel again. That wouldn’t be happening anytime soon though. Isaac wasn’t even sure he could move.

“Isaac, I have to leave again. I’ll make sure to keep in touch with you this time though, and I’ll come and visit just as soon as I can.”

Isaac sighed and with more effort than he thought possible, he rolled onto his side and pulled Samandiriel into his arms. “I hope you aren’t gone for long.”

Samandiriel smiled at him, his blue eyes sparkling. “I’ll do my best.” He pulled Isaac into a long, lazy kiss. Isaac drifted off in Samandiriel’s arms.

When he woke up he was back in his bed in Beacon Hills and Samandiriel was gone. In his place was a stuffed wolf with wings. Isaac laughed and hugged the stuffed animal to his chest.

For the first time since he was turned he was actually happy, not just the kind of happy that had come with the power trip he had experienced when he had first been bitten, but really happy. After everything that had happened recently, life was suddenly looking a whole hell of a lot better.

OH MY GOSH, THIS IS THE BEST THING.

It's so sweet. I love their relationship; they really do work well together. Derek being so reluctant to believe in angels, but being a werewolf, is funny - what I like especially is that he lets Isaac be with Samandiriel. I bet Derek and Camden were alike.

AND NOW I HAVE FEELS. Thanks for sharing this! ♥♥♥

YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE FEELS WITH ME!!! <3

Derek probably saw how happy and excited Isaac was. Not even Derek can be immune to the adorableness that Isaac is. (in my big bang fic he might mention Isaac's adorableness)
