Fic: Cat Sitting
Title: Cat Sitting
Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Rating: PG
Word Count: 831
Warnings: schmoop, some crack
Summary: Cas leaves Catiel with Dean for a bit.
Disclaimer: If I owned them then I wouldn't have to play with them in stories.
A/N: This follows the story Catiel, but can be read on it's own. But Catiel introduces Catiel. I have a feeling this is going to turn into a series.
Guys!! I'm finally into season 4 of Supernatural. Now I've actually seen Castiel episodes :)

For
hakkai_duo because she was having a bad day. Hope this helps some ♥
Dean kicked off his shoes and sat on the bed leaning against the headboard. He turned on the TV and settled in for a few hours of alone time while Sam was out doing research.
Dean had only been watching TV for a few minutes when he heard a purring sound coming from the other bed. He looked over and sure enough, there was Cas with his little kitten, Catiel.
“Hey Cas; Catiel.”
He felt stupid saying hey to the cat, but Cas always looked so hurt when he didn’t, so he’d made a point of saying hey to Catiel also.
“Hello Dean.”
“What’s up, Cas?”
“I have some things I need to attend to, and I think it would be best to leave Catiel behind. Will you watch him for me?”
Dean’s jaw dropped. What the hell was he supposed to do with the cat while Cas was gone? Like it really mattered anyway. It wasn’t as if Dean would say no. Like Dean could ever say no to Cas.
“Yeah, sure. No problem, Cas. How long are you gonna be gone for?”
Cas got off of Sam’s bed and walked over to Dean’s, handing him Catiel. Dean took the kitten and held him up to his face to say hey again. Catiel licked his nose and started purring before Dean could even open his mouth. He snorted and rested the kitten on his lap and looked up at Cas. Cas was actually smiling at him.
“Catiel likes you.” And Cas looked so incredibly happy at that, that Dean found himself becoming flustered and barely managed to get out a “guess so”.
“I shouldn’t be gone for too long, Dean.” And with that, Cas was gone.
Dean looked down at the kitten curled up on his lap. He’d grown a bit in the month that Cas had had him, but he was still a tiny little thing.
“Guess it’s just you and me now, Catiel.”
“Meow.” Dean snorted again and started petting Catiel. This was something that Sam normally did. Sam had been ecstatic when he had found out about Catiel. Sam had taken to buying little cat toys for Catiel and playing with him constantly.
Dean, on the other hand, only petted Catiel when Sam wasn’t around, or if Cas shoved Catiel into his arms, which he seemed to like doing. He would never admit it, but he had grown rather fond of Catiel. He had even picked up a few toys to give to Cas for the cat when Sam had been out.
Well, why the hell not? Sam wouldn’t be back for a while. Trying not to jostle Catiel too much, he leaned down and grabbed his duffel off of the floor. He rummaged around until he found a few of the mice that he had picked up at the store.
He tossed his duffel back on the floor and dangled one of the mice over Catiel. He found himself laughing as he watched Catiel bat at the mouse. It was relaxing, and he found that he felt lighter than he had in a while.
He was having such a good time playing with Catiel that he didn’t even notice when Cas popped back into the room. Catiel noticed though. He meowed and ran across to the other side of the bed where Cas was standing. Cas picked Catiel up and rubbed their noses together before hiding him away in his trench coat. Cas walked over and stood in front of him.
“You enjoyed yourself, Dean.” It wasn’t a question, and Dean looked away from him and muttered.
“It was fine.”
“Why don’t you play with Catiel when Sam is around?” Dean looked back at Cas.
“Dude, Sam would give me so much crap for that.” Cas just tilted his head and stared at Dean. Dean cleared his throat.
“So Cas, are you gonna stick around for dinner tonight?”
“No, I still have more business to attend to. I can join you for breakfast in the morning if you’d like though.”
“That’d be nice, Cas.”
Cas stared at Dean, and Dean stared right back. It had taken some time for him to be able to do that. Ever since he realized that what he felt for Cas was more than just friendship, he had been having a harder time keeping eye contact with him.
“Dean?”
“Yeah Cas?”
“I’d like to try something.”
“Okay Cas, what do you want to try?”
Instead of answering, Cas leaned down and kissed him. It was brief but sweet, and before Dean could think to kiss him back, Cas was pulling away.
“I’ll see you at breakfast, Dean,” and Dean was left staring off into an empty space in front of him trying to figure out what had just happened.
“Well, see you soon, Cas.” He was glad he still had time before Sam got back, because he was going to need it to wipe the stupid grin off of his face.

And now.....A mini Ficlet!
Cas was immediately put on alert when he came into the Hotel to see Sam and Dean, grim faced and staring at him.
"Somethings wrong," he stated.
Dean just sighed, "Yea, Cas, something is wrong," Looking over at his brother, Dean grabbed the back of his next. Cas relaxed a bit, this was somewhat embarrassed by what he was about to say Dean, not something needs a serious ass kicking or the world is gonna be destroyed Dean.
"You see Cas, Sam and I were wondering," Dean was looking around for what to say. "That is, Sammy and I wanted to make sure,"
"A trench coat is no place for a cat," Sam piped up from his seat on the bed.
Dean smiled, snapping his fingers at Sam. "Exactly, you can't keep shoving that thing in your jacket," He gave said coat a funny look, "Seriously when was the last time you washed that thing?"
Cas just looked blankly at the two brothers. "Is that all? I assure you, Catiel is well provided for in my Trench Coat,"
"Cas," Dean said slowly, as if talking to a mad man, "You can't keep him there, one day the little guy is gonna get squished or something,"
Cas just looked quizzically at Dean, "If there is any sign of things getting rough, I provide Catiel with safe refuge. You should know this, since it is most often with you,"
Dean just sighed, exasperated again. "Yea, ok, but still. Cats need to move, and have a litter box and just....not live in a freaking pocket!"
"But he is not living in a pocket, well not a Jacket pocket," Cas said.
Dean looked doubtful, and hesitant, as if afraid of the answer. "But you put him in your coat, I have watched you,"
Cas just smiled. "Yes but you are forgetting one thing, Dean,"
"What?"
"I'm an Angel, thus it's a magic coat,"
END!
lol sorry.....plot bunny struck.
