The sun was lingering beneath the horizon. Even the sun wasn’t ready to face the day.
Strong arms wrapped around him, helping to warm him in the chill of the dawn.
Today was the day they would probably all die. Even if they did, they would make sure to take as many of those bastards as they could.
Cas pressed a kiss just beneath Dean’s ear. Dean turned in Cas’ arms to face him. Their lips met in a tender kiss.
It was one last stolen moment to keep Dean going through the day. One happy memory he could keep with him, whatever happened. One last regret for a life he would never have.
