Drabble: Beautiful in Death

This hurt more than it should.
Gabriel was beautiful in death though, go figure.
He didn’t have time to linger here. They would come for Gabriel’s vessel soon, and he had to find those bloody Winchesters anyway.
Still, he couldn’t make himself leave.
He brought a hand up to his eye and was shocked when it came back wet. He hadn’t shed a single tear since he had become a demon. He had rarely done it when he was human.
Now, he was shedding tears for a friend and a lover. Tears for a crazy archangel who had a soft spot for a demon.
There would be time to mourn later, and he would. Right now, he had work to do.
